Cypress Meadows is committed to responding to the crisis in Haiti following the earthquake of January 12. There will be a featured update of our sister school and church as well as information about our response to the earthquake crisis in our Sunday services this weekend, January 17th.

UPDATE:  Beginning in May we will offer trips to Port Au Prince, Haiti to offer hands-on aid to the people affected by the earthquake.  We are partnering with 410 Bridge to make these trips possible.  For complete travel and preparation details please call the church office.

Information you want to know:

While tremors were felt at our church and school in St. Louis Du Nord, there was no major damage to the structures and no one on site was injured.

Families of those involved in our church and school have been impacted as loved ones were in Port au Prince at the time of the quake.

Of course, our first response has been, and continues to be, to pray for the people of Haiti.  Please join us as we pray for those still trapped, for those injured, for those grieving loss and for those already in place working to sort through the chaos.

What we are going to do:

In addition to prayer, we will be the hands and feet of Jesus to Haiti by:

1. Collecting donations to go to Compassion International to provide critical relief to those in Haiti whose lives are in great need.

All funds raised in response to the Haiti earthquake will be used immediately to reequip Compassion's local support structure and to provide for the immediate needs of Compassion-assisted children and families.  Any funds raised in excess will be stewarded by Compassion for additional and future disaster relief efforts.

2.  sb_logo_rgb.jpg 449703cc8218f6ccfc5df96dd928b664_haiti_jan10_tl_001.jpg  Collecting donations to go to Shelter Box .  An international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.
