Family Ministries

Cypress Meadows is one of a growing number of churches who are embracing the Orange philosophy of Family Ministry. Simply put, Orange is a secondary color, created when you combine two primary colors – red and yellow.

Orange is what red and yellow can do when they combine efforts. If you paint only with red, you will get what only red can do. If you paint only with yellow, you will get what only yellow can do. But when you paint with red and yellow, you’ll get new possibilities, fresh solutions, vibrant outcomes.

We believe the warm heart of the family can be represented by the color red, and the bright light of the church can be represented by the color yellow. When these two entities, church and family, combine their efforts for the sake of the spiritual growth of the next generation, the result is Orange.

Come see the Orange principle in action here at Cypress. We are committed to teaching your children the message of the Bible in fun, engaging ways each weekend AND to putting resources in your, the parents’, hands so that you can continue the learnings at home throughout the week.

Our classes for ages 2-3 (The Treehouse) and 4-5 (KCjr.) both utilize the Spark curriculum, which is built around the Spark Bible. Parents can create an account for their children and access teaching materials, supplemental craft and coloring sheets, games and other tools for use in the home by clicking here.

Our class for age 6-4th grade (Kids Connection) utilizes the What’s in the Bible? curriculum, based on the video series of the same name by VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer. Parents can access study guides, coloring pages, flashcards, crafts and games for use at home by clicking here. Parents and kids can also watch a daily half-hour show and play video games starring the characters of WITB? by clicking here.
