Extention |
Ministry Description

†Extension Ministry reaches outside the walls of Cypress Meadows with the love of Christ through tangible acts of service and through building relationships as we work with ministry partners locally and internationally that are in need. If you already share a passion for compassion or evangelism, or want to grow in these, then be sure to serve in this ministry! The Extension Ministry includes:
LOCAL OUTREACH
†Street Ministry
A Multi-Church outreach where the local homeless is served. They are provided with a warm meal, a worship service, encouragement and fellowship. It meets every Saturday 5 – 7 pm in the side lot of The Church of God by Faith at 1007 N. Myrtle Ave., Clearwater.
†Josha House
This team serves the local shelter for abandoned and abused children named “Joshua House.” Visits are planned as special events to interact, encourage and bring joy to these beautiful children in need.
†Good Samaritan Mission in Wimauma
Teams of people travel to this migrant worker’s camp at the Good Samaritan Mission in Wimauma on a scheduled basis. There they build or fix structures, work in the thrift store, assemble food baskets, and assist kids with getting haircuts or physicals.
†Glen Oaks Nursing Home
Seasonal visits are planned to this state-run facility for indigent elderly. Most residents have no one that contacts them so those that serve provide a much needed time of fellowship, worship, music and dancing, hand massages, manicures and even pet visits.
†The Haven
Every Saturday volunteers are welcome to serve at ‘The Haven’ – a shelter for abused women and children. Though these healing women support themselves, their children and volunteer to keep up the shelter, the facility is always in need of additional maintenance, cleaning and organization. A thrift store also supports the shelter, but regularly is in need of donations and help.
INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH
†Haiti
A partnership exists to support a local school in the poverty stricken country of Haiti. Through annually collected donations, children are able to receive uniforms, one square meal a day and a year’s worth of education through this much needed program.
†Kenya
Molly & Joseph Bail are relocating to Kenya to serve the incredible numbers of HIV Aids orphans. Both a medical clinic and an orphanage are being built as part of this ministry. Prayers as well as regular monthly donations, annual donations or one-time donations are needed to support this new ministry.
