Jesus Christ is in the business
of transforming lives. He is making a difference in the people at Cypress Meadows Community Church.

Jesus never promised a world without problems. Christians
will face their share of triumphs, struggles and heartbreak. At Cypress Meadows Community Church, we have formed a network of caring people to offer friendship, support, prayer, encouragement, accountability and counsel. We want to make sure no one stands alone.

 How about you? If you have been  trying on your own to find peace  and fulfillment, we want to help. We  can't give you peace, but we know  Someone who can.

Deciding to trust in God is so humbling. The fear and anxiety I used to feel has been given to him. All the things I thought I controlled are his to control. He knows what is best for me in my life. I am grateful for everyday and every lesson he lays in my lap. My strength is not my own. His unconditional love seemed so foreign to me in the beginning and now it's the only love I want to know.

Before I decided to trust Christ I was never a very happy person. Their were times when things went along ok, but life never seemed to be what I felt it could be. I was a very self centered person, and when things went bad it was not my fault. I drank too much and most importantly I was a bad father. I was a slug.

When I came to Cypress I was treated like an intelligent person who was welcomed and given answers. By showing up every Sunday, listening and learning, witnessing the power of prayer and the power of Christ I got on my knees and prayed for Jesus Christ to be my Savior and promised to live the rest of my life on earth as he would want me to.

Since receiving Christ as my savior life has steadily changed in so many ways. The power of prayer is amazing! I am so much happier and less stressed. I believe in God's plan. When obstacles come, big or small, through lessons learned at Cypress, the Bible, & prayer I can get through it. The most important thing has been learning that life is not about me! Once I finally got that everything changed. The joy and happiness of volunteering and helping others is amazing.

My walk with Christ has not stopped "life" from happening but how I handle "life" is very different. I recognize my sin, I embrace my fear, and I welcome challenges because I know Christ is there. I love deeper, I rejoice freely and I encourage fellowship because I know Christ is there.

I have found a home in Christ and nothing else matters. I know he lives in me, and with him I am safe. There is no need for me to run anymore. I can face anything with him by my side.
