The Mission of Cypress is to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ out of unchurched people

VISION STATEMENT

Our vision is to be a biblically functioning community of believers so that Christ’s redemptive purposes can be accomplished in the world.

CORE VALUES

1. The church is to operate as a loving community that is organized according to spiritual giftedness.  This includes concepts of unity, conflict resolution, servant hood, spiritual giftedness, love driven ministry accomplished in teams and relationship building.
2. The pursuit of Christ-like authenticity and full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer.  This includes the concepts of personal authenticity, truth telling, vulnerability, stewardship, downward mobility (ministry over occupation), and the pursuit of Kingdom goals.
3. The church should be culturally relevant yet uncompromisingly biblical.  This includes concept of sensitivity relating to our culture through our facility, printed materials, and the use of the arts.
4. Lost people matter to God, and therefore they matter to us.  This includes concepts of relational evangelism and evangelism as a process.
5. All that we do is to honor God.  This includes the concepts of excellence, intensity, perseverance and evaluation.
