Douglas Poole, Senior Pastor, has a BA in Bible Theology and a Master's of Divinity from Asbury Seminary. More important, he is in love with his wife Jacqueline and crazy about his children Sarah, Jonathan, Michael and Bethany. He sincerely believes that the local church is the hope of the world and has devoted his life to building a culturally relevant, yet Biblical church that prevails at reaching unchurched people and turning them into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Douglas enjoys going out on his sailboat and does so every chance he gets. He says, "I can't get over the fact that God loves me and that I get to invest a lifetime doing what makes my heart beat fast." |
Tim Walters, Executive Pastor, has a BS degree in Business Management
from Florida Tech in Melbourne. Having spent 18 years at various levels in the corporate market place, he brings experience in management, business processes, product development and planning. He is in love with and dedicated to his wonderful wife Rachel and can not get over the blessing God has bestowed on his "very spirited" children.
Tim made the decision to leave the market place and join ministry in 2006 and says; "It is an incredible opportunity to be able to serve God in this way. Working with Cypress and the leadership team to achieve the goals they have planned, with Gods guidance and grace, is truly amazing and the most significant mission I have done in my life." |
Deana Kistner, Programming Facilitator, has been a regular member of our singing ensemble on Sundays and Wednesdays for a number of years. She has also served on the programming and technical team during that time. Deana has been attending Cypress Meadows since 1996 and became a staff member in December 2003.
Deana explains, "God has wired me up so that telling His story in different ways is what makes my heart race. I love to find creative new means of introducing people to Christ and His love for them. I have been privileged to get to use these gifts and passions serving on the programming team for about six years. Now, serving on staff, I hope to help keep the programming ministry growing in its creativity and in its heart for people." |
Alana Stephenson, Administrative Assistant, is the team member who keeps our entire ministry on track and organized. She says, “I am excited about being a part of such a wonderful staff and I love the people here. It is a privilege to be a part of a church that reaches out to all people and believes that all people matter, because all people matter to God."
Alana has been attending Cypress Meadows for over 13 years along with her husband, two daughters, and son. When you come to Cypress, she is most likely one of the first people you will meet. She will welcome you warmly and connect you quickly into our church family. Almost everyone here has an ‘Alana Story’ for how she has impacted their lives beginning with the first time they came through the doors.

She comes to Cypress Meadows as our Volunteer Coordinator because she is passionate about connecting people into the life of the church. She desires to help people move from being church attenders to becoming the church. “I’ve seen first hand the transformation in people’s lives when they begin to connect in community through a small group and through serving. They begin to see Christ formed in others and the inmost parts of themselves…and I celebrate as I get to watch God work!” |
