Easter Celebration
We’ve all experienced what it’s like to be driving somewhere and come face-to-face with a “Dead End” sign. It’s frustrating and disappointing. What’s even more frustrating, though, is if you thought you had good directions. The same is true in other areas of life…
Have you ever followed what you thought were good directions for developing a relationship only to have that relationship hit a dead end? Perhaps you had what you thought were good directions for managing your money, you followed them, and they left you at a financial dead end? Or maybe for you ended up at a career, emotional, or spiritual dead end.
2000 years ago Jesus’s followers were confronted with a seemingly insurmountable dead end when Jesus’s body was placed in a tomb. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead can overcome your dead end as well.

Sermon Notes
- Luke 24:1-10
- The dead end of Jesus’s death was not a dead end but a doorway to a new way of life.
- 1 Peter 1:3
- A lot of things are overrated, but hope is not one of them.
- Once you know the power of the resurrection, you have hope that God can overcome any dead end.
How can you experience resurrection power in your life? Come to the Father with child-like faith…
Next Steps
- Child-like curiosity. Perhaps your next step is to begin investigating God. Pick up a Bible and read the book of John. Read “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel. Have a conversation with a Christian
- Child-like energy. Don’t wait until Christmas to get serious about spiritual things again. Be proactive. Perhaps your next step is to join us for our next series “Secret Confessions of a Pastor”
- Child-like faith. Perhaps you are ready to put your faith in Jesus. If so, your next step is to pray, “God, I have reached a spiritual dead end in my life. I have chosen my own way over your way in the past. I believe that Jesus death on the cross paid the penalty for my wrong-doing, and so I ask that you would forgive me. I ask you to come into my life and be the leader of my life from this day forward. Help me to become more like You each day. Amen.” If you prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, congratulations - you are now a part of God’s family! Let us know about this big step in your spiritual journey so we can celebrate with you help you take your next step.

Great service - I really liked the personal stories. Something about hearing first hand stories of “God Encounters” adds real authenticity to whatever happens.
