Some things in life you are rock-solid certain about. There are other things in life which you are 100% sure are NOT true. Most things in life, however, lie somewhere in between where there is some doubt - a politician’s promise, a weatherman’s forecast, and perhaps even God.

- “I remember being told a child don’t question faith, just believe. I began to doubt when that faith was challenged in college philosophy class.”
- King David, who the Bible calls a man after God’s own heart, had doubts. See Psalm 22:1-2 and Psalm 73.
- John the Baptist, despite hearing the audible voice of God, had doubts. Jesus treated him with grace and complimented him. Matthew 11:1-11
- Faith is not the opposite of doubt or the absence of doubt.
- If faith never encounters doubt, how can that faith have any power?
Suggestions for dealing with doubt:
- Be honest about your doubts.
- Do your homework.
- Talk it over with a wise Christ-follower.
- Don’t confuse facts with feelings.
