Sermon Notes
There’s a difference between simply looking for something and really searching. Looking is casual. Searching is determined and exhaustive. How determined and exhaustive we search is directly related to the value of what we’re searching for.
There’s one thing we all search for - meaning in our lives. We all want to know that we matter. We all want to be reconnected with God.
Maybe by talking about who God isn’t, we can learn about who God is.
- God isn’t custom made. God is who He is. We cannot give him the traits we want Him to have. God created us in His likeness, not the other way around.
- God isn’t concerned with coolness. We need validation outside of ourselves. God loves s just as we are. Zephaniah 3:17
- God isn’t a religious formula. God is not interested in rituals. He wants a relationship with you. He wants your heart.
God can handle your doubts. Ask your questions. Be diligent in your search.
