Have you ever seen someone who was consumed by a burning desire? Think of a kindergartener at school with their hand waiving in the air and a burning desire to speak.  Or a person like Martin Luther King Jr. who was compelled to speak out about injustice.  You’ve probably experienced this yourself - where something inside moves you to the point where you feel you must say something.  People who are white-hot for God have a burning desire to talk about Him with others. When a company gets white-hot and really starts to take off, other companies analyze what they’re doing so they can become white hot as well.  Sports teams do the same thing.  When a team gets hot, other teams study game film and begin to copy what’s working well.  That is what we’re doing spiritually - studying those people in the Bible who were spiritually hot so we can become white-hot ourselves.  Today we focus on having compassion for those in need.   (more…)

Have you ever been on a blind date?  It can be awkward.  It takes you out of your comfort zone.  Sometimes getting into a Next Step Partnership can feel the same way.  However, just like a blind date, trying a Next Step Partnership can be a lot easier if you know what you’re looking for and know some basic do’s and don’ts for Next Step Partnerships.
