Have you ever been on a blind date? It can be awkward. It takes you out of your comfort zone. Sometimes getting into a Next Step Partnership can feel the same way. Sermon Notes
Three things to look for in a Next Step Partnership:
- Character. Look for people who are trustworth and can keep a confidence. Ephesians 4:3
- Competency. Look for a spiritual partner or group leader who is spiritually mature.
- Chemistry. Look for people who have common interests or whom you enjoy spending time with.
Do’s and Don’ts of Next Step Partnerships
- Do tell the truth. What good is it if you don’t tell people how you’re really.
- Do share the spotlight. Talk and take time to listen to others.
- Don’t try to act perfect. Everyone already knows you’re not.
- Don’t quit.
- Don’t gossip. What gets said in the group should stay in the group.
- Do give it time. It takes time to get to know people and develop chemistry.
- Do suppliment. It’s only one step for spiritual growth. It’s also important to have private time with God, join together for worship, and serve others.
Being a part of a Next Step Partnership is such an important part of your spiritual journey.
