Celebration Station

Friday, December 2, Amped Student ministry will be taking over Celebration Station for an all-night event. From midnight till 6 am we are going to have unlimited bumper boats, go-karts, mini-golf, and arcade games, all for $25 per person. This is open for all middle school, high school, and college students.  Make sure you have your signed consent form and $25 in by November 29 to Josh at Cypress Meadows or use the form below to register and purchase your tickets right now. Make sure and invite your friends, and we’ll see you there!

Upcoming Events

I want to tell all of you at Amped student ministry about several things that we have coming up.

First if you are in middle school (overdrive), we have a lock-in scheduled for October 21. It will begin sometime around 8 in the evening and last till about 7 in the morning. We will have pizza, games and more all night long! Make sure you invite your friends to be a part of this event. Cost is $5 per person.

If you are in high school (elevate), we are going camping at Myakka River state park on November 4. We will leave from the church sometime in the afternoon and return some time the next day. Make sure you invite your friends to be a part of this trip. Cost is $10 per person.

The next event I want to tell you about is going to happen on December 2. We have rented out Celebration Station and we are going to take it over from Midnight till 6 in the morning! We need to get as many teens as we can possibly get to attend this event. Cost is $20 per person. There will be more details about this event coming soon.

Don’t forget to continue inviting your friends to Amped every Sunday night!

New Sunday Nights

This Sunday night marks a new and exciting day for our student ministry. We are going to be splitting up the Middle School and High School students starting this Sunday night. The Middle School students will start at 5:00 p.m. and the cafe will be open until 6:00 p.m. before we start the worship time. Middle school students will be picked up at 7:00. High School students will arrive at 6:30 with the cafe being open until about 7:15 when we start the seperate worship service. The night will end around 8:00 p.m.

We are expecting God to do big things through Amped Student ministry. Remember to like us on facebook and we will see you this Sunday night!

Beyond the new and exciting

This last weekend we launched our new Amped student ministry with over 70 in attendance! It was a great night, and God did some incredible things. We had some very fun things happen: there was a gladiator joust, a giant toilet that flushed water on people beneath (always a good idea), and of course no student ministry night is complete without someone being hit in the face with a pie.
While all of this was great and everything is new and exciting right now, the key message of the night, and the reason we are called Amped student ministry, was shared from John 10:10. “The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness”. Jesus truly came to give us life in all its fullness, or in other words, He came to “amp” our lives. We have to look beyond just the new and exciting things that are happening and realize that Jesus truly came to help us have life in all its fullness.

This Sunday night, both middle and high school students will be meeting together at 6:00 as in the past. But starting next week, everyone will still meet on Sunday nights, but middle school will meet at 5 while high school won’t be arriving until 6:30. Make sure to follow this blog and watch for more posts to be coming this weekend! See you on Sunday!
